DR. BERNARD CORNETTE DE SAINT CYR

As the son of a surgeon, Dr. Bernard Cornette de Saint Cyr has been in operating rooms since he was ten years old. After completing his studies at the Department of Medicine, in Paris, he passed a highly selective exam and was accepted as an intern with the Paris hospital system. This was the starting point for his career as a surgeon. During his training, he developed an interest with plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. His decision to become a specialist was based primarily on:

• the advanced techniques used in plastic surgery, a field in constant evolution
• the profound knowledge of individual psychology required
• the highly artistic aspect of this branch of medicine

After 14 years of study, Dr. Cornette de Saint Cyr received official recognition in a field in which France is particularly well known.

In 2003 he became the president of the French Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeons (SOFCEP), for plastic surgeons who focus exclusively on aesthetics.

He was accepted as a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) with the title of postgraduate professor.

Dr. Cornette de Saint Cyr has contributed to a number of postgraduate textbooks, primarily in the areas of surgical technique, lifting, and breast reconstruction. His articles have been published in international scientific journals.

Always in the forefront of his field, Dr. Cornette de Saint Cyr has been invited to conferences around the world to lecture and teach.
